The heavy downpour, the unavoidable bad equipment and sound system, but Stonebay and the crew made it possible to make it all worked out!! Overall experience was awesome and the crowd was even more awesome!! Loving them crowds!! And to our friends that helped us out thank you for being there and make every single thing worked out!! Ups and Downs

What goes up stays up!! How i wish it would be that way. But in life we would, definitely face the down turn in life, and it could be as low as hell. Nothing seems to go your way, after experiencing good fortune, and all the fame and spotlights, we have to suddenly face the pits of hell and everything seems so wrong. We work on something so hard and we believe in the things we do and we fight for it but still we fall. But it does not mean the end, instead, it is a new beginning, for something good, it is more about how we get back up after we fall. No matter if its about your everyday life, relationships, work, studies, or even bands. Especially bands, one has to know how to face a problem that is causing the band to break apart and work on it instead of letting it break you apart. Sit down and let everything out, not for the intention of bringing another party down but to let out honest opinions so one could improve from it. Communication is important so honest opinion and clear and good communication is needed. Like I've mentioned earlier it is a waste for things we had been working and fighting for if we let small matters ruin the whole thing. It is a waste if the band has worked so hard and other people who has invest a lot in time and trust and beliefs on the band, would be put to waste if the band would actually just break up just because of a missed-communication matter. For a rising band to be disbanded just because of this is a shame especially after hard work and effort has been put in.

So whatever the problems we face we should not let the problem overcome us but us overcoming the problem. Don't waste all the good things we have by letting these shitty things get in the way.

So in conjunction of our 52nd merdeka celebration i would like to call forward all bands to unite and let lose all hatred to unite and love..peace and love yo!! hehehehe...unite to fight especially racial issues..one nation..one Malaysia

It was a good night for us, weather was good, the air was cool, the night was calm..and we, the band can say we are lucky enough that we get to meet and sit down with Kak Ann for Warner Music to discuss about signing up with them for distribution and digital downloads. We got enough information on the deals they would offer us and what not.

Hopefully all would go well and you'll be seeing our EP in major music stores and digital downloads would be accessible to everyone !! hehehee

right...It seems from the month of July on wards the band will be busy with shows and gigs and interviews and etc etc...As for today we had this interview by Channel V..yes you've guessed it..Channel V amp hosted by Nicholas Saputra (however u spell it..my bad)...

We need more gigs and money!!! Money money money!! So please kind hearted people offer us shows with good payment as we need to fund the printings of our second batch of EP..

And speaking of our EP, we will have a launch somewhere after Raya (yet to be confirmed) but if you guys wanna get ur hands on em u can do so by contacting either of us on myspace or facebook or our private numbers or even here since it is out for sale now...

Stonebay in Jakarta

From the moment we set foot on Indonesian soil to the day we left the people of Jakarta is the best!! The experience was awesome and we can't wait to go back there. The music scene..well most importantly the indie scene which includes music and also the indie clothing industry is a real phenomenon. Why do i say phenomenon? It's because you can't get to see anything like it in Malaysia. The clothing line by local Indonesian indie label aren't just reasonable at price but they do produce world class quality clothing besides making good music. Like their music the clothing scene is so big that they co-exist with the music scene. We don't get to see much bands in Malaysia getting endorsements by local clothing line, what more to say music equipment endorsements. But in Indonesia it comes in two, bands getting endorse and sponsored by both the clothing names and the music gadgets/equipments. Bands bringing their own custom set guitars, drums, etc. Even their indie bands has endorsements by music instruments company, be it international or local brand. As the only Malaysia brand we are proud to say that we also did get our hands on some endorsements from one of the local labels. And here Stonebay would like to thank Gristle and Spectrum.
The band scene over in Jakarta is much different then in Malaysia. I wish Malaysia can pull off the same way of thinking and mentality and approach to the whole indie scene here in Malaysia. Bands over in Jakarta, whether old or new, experienced or inexperienced, famous or not, they help each other and there are no such thing as sabotage or having the feeling of 'iri hati' as the Malay says it which means envious. They help each other reach the height and peak of musical stardom. That is something that we learned from our trip there ad we wish to play the same part.
The crowds over there are awesome!! They are so open to new things and although they never heard of us before but they did give us quite a big round of applause for a band and songs they never heard of before! Thanks guys you are the greatest!! If i'm not mistaken there were around 20000 people who showed up for the event and imagine that much of a crowd who watched us performed!! Man it was a very different experience.

SO all in all Jakarta trip/gig was awesome and thanks to our buddy Bison for making things possible for us. Credits to him and his band Locomotive. Can't wait for our up coming shows in Indonesia as we got a few invitations more to go tour around Indonesia and who knows..may be Japan one day...hehehe...So keep posted for more updates from Stonebay!!

The Closing Down Of Our Beloved Junction Audio Studio

The awesome most glorious studio ever (well for us tho) has been closed down due to some 'technical difficulties'. Sad but true. All the memories...all he creative works...all the crazy good times...all the first time meet ups...it all happened at Junction Audio Studio in Bukit Damansara.

But what makes it more sad is that it has to be close down and all that is left is memories...

And also..due to this matter and of the 'technical difficulties' Stonebay had to face (and still facing) some of the biggest challenges and the down times...

We had to hold back two of our recordings since it is still with the owner of the studio Mr. Micheal..he will only be releasing the two tracks if we pay him the total sum of RM5000!!

The deal was we will only going to pay him his cut (which includes jamming session fees, recordings, etc) when we get to release our EP Si Murai Penipu and when we have the sales money on hand...

But due to the particular 'technical difficulties' the deal was, lets just say altered, and yea..now we have to look for the RM5k before we can release the EP...

So anyone and i mean anyone out there who are kind enough to sponsor us..please do so!!! Hahahaha...although this may sound like a joke but I meant it really =D

Guys...i have a proposal...why don't we start a fund raising for us to raise money for ourselves to pay Micheal...and whoever contributes will get a copy of exclusive release of our EP..just my thought...

Ok enough of the crap...cheerios!!
